“A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.“

On October 1, Dr. Mario Baumgartner took over as the new CEO of Adaptricity AG. His predecessor, Adriano Beti, has decided to take on a new challenge outside the company after successful development work at Adaptricity AG. Mario Baumgartner is a trained business IT specialist and was most recently responsible for digital business model development at Leoni Studer AG. As part of his work for energy network services, he has focused on how decentralised energy producers and consumers can be optimally integrated into the energy network. Both, technically model-related and under the aspect of “behavioural economics”, i.e. the question under which circumstances are prosumers willing to make which contributions to the energy network.

Mario Baumgartner, in addition to his management experience, thus also has the ideal technical skills to further expand Adaptricity AG’s business, and he is looking forward to his new role: “Numerous awards and the implementation of major projects with renowned customers have proven that Adaptricity provides convincing answers to new service needs in the power distribution market. In the future, these will have to be established even more broadly in the market. In the words of the American writer John Augustus Shedd: ‘A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for’. I look forward to leading Adaptricity from the port to new shores.“
